Some systemic skin problems like psoriasis and eczema can be treated with drugs known as biologics. These treatments target specific parts of the immune system that create the inflammation that leads to these types of skin diseases.

At Alabama Dermatology & Skin Specialists, we use biologics like Taltz, Dupixent, Cosentyx, Cimzia and Humira to help control psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, eczema and other autoimmune issues. While biologics are not a cure for these diseases, they are an important tool that can radically improve quality of life.
